The green building market is accelerating at a dramatic rate becoming a vast part of today’s construction industry. With the down market, it has become even more imperative for this industry to capture new opportunities shaped by the demand for more sustainable, environment friendly buildings.

According to McGraw Hill study, the value of green building construction was up five-fold from 2005 to 2008 (from $10 billion to $36-$49 billion), up to a projected market share of $60 billion by 2010 and the estimation of tripling by 2013, reaching $96-$140 billion. This increase in green building value is a result of the 20% Growth in Green Buildings for 2005, 30% in 2006 and the continuous rate increase in the years that follow.
